NB This program should be run in mode 15 (256 colours) on older machines.
!NewIcons allows you to select different "icons" depending upon your taste. There is also a choice of nine backdrops. Use the 'try' or random buttons to select these. The are six choices of icons:
1. Default Icons -these are based on the ROM sprites with some slight modifications.
2. New Icons -these are my own creations with some help from my brother, Robert.
3. 3D Icons -these are based on the icons supplied with Doggysofts !NewerLook2 (release 2.00) by Andrew Clover.
4. Pebbled Icons -these are based on a collection of Sprites from Peter Eastwood and Brian Bailey.
5. Windows Icons -these are based upon icons used on Windows 3.1. They must be run in Mode 15! Most of these were obtained from various internet sites that had icons avaiable for downloading. They were changed to sprites and scaled using !ChangeFSI and modified using !Paint.
6. Ultimate Icons -these are some of my favourite icons. They were designed by a number of contributers, including my brother, Robert, who also compiled the set. Some of these are mode 15 sprites!
To use simply run the program, select which set of icons you wish to use and then click OK.
The first four textures are from Acorn's !NewLook application, the 'Egyptian' and the 'Earth' are BitMap conversions from Windows, textures 6 ('BrownRock') and 8 ('CoolBlue') were created using !Texture Garden and the starfield was downloaded from an internet site.
